Danuta Krajewska-Pietrasik was born in Łódź. She is a graduate of the University of Łódź (PhD in Natural Sciences), and the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.

Her artistic development includes participating in critiques led by Prof. Ryszard Hunger within the Association of Amateur Artists in Łódź, as well as attending classes taught by Jacek Świgulski, MA, at the Łódź House of Culture.

In 2012, she graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Visual Arts at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, majoring in Art Education in the Field of Fine Arts, with a specialization in Visual Projects.

She obtained her diploma from the Studio of Sculpture and Spatial Activities under the supervision of Assistant Professor Bogdan Wajberg, and from the Drawing Studio under the supervision of Assistant Professor Tadeusz Wodziński. Her graduation portfolio was complemented by an annex in painting, completed at the Painting Studio under the guidance of Rafał Sobiczewski, PhD.

Since 2009, she has been a regular participant in numerous national art competitions and her works have been featured in over 120 national and international exhibitions. Her artwork is also included in the collections of various Polish cultural institutions.

Since 2016, she has been a member of the Łódź District of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP).

Her artistic activity encompasses painting, drawing, artistic printmaking, and spatial objects. Regardless of the medium used, her works of art are inspired by both the material traces of human activity and nature. Particularly appealing to her are the multifaceted concepts of motion and stillness, transience and permanence, the relationships between them, and the underlying emotions they evoke.

Her paintings lean toward arrangement and synthesis, incorporating planar and static divisions alongside abrupt perspective shifts. Despite their inherent dynamism, they maintain a restrained color palette, though highly contrasting color schemes also emerge.

Her drawings, which frequently verge on abstraction, depict an immersion into the emotional world and its interpretation. While some drawing works of art instill a sense of tranquility and endurance through their geometric nature and orderly form, others achieve quite the opposite effect.

Regardless of the subject matter, the contrasts applied in her fine art prints emphasize both form and compositional dynamics, further intensifying the overall impact of her artistic works.
